Inaugural edition of Formnext + PM South China opens this week

Formnext + PM South China will open this week from 9 – 11 September at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center, with the opening ceremony to feature talks from distinguished guest speakers. The fair is set to be one of the leading events for additive manufacturing and powder metallurgy within the region, with 15,000 square metres of floor space welcoming over 200 exhibitors, more than 10,000 visitors and featuring 80 seminars over seven forums within its concurrent event programme.

The inaugural edition of Formnext + PM South China will open on Thursday morning with its opening ceremony to feature speeches from distinguished guests including Hubert Duh, Chairman of Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, Mr Stephan Buurma, Managing Director, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, Mr Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, Mr Xiaofeng Zhu, General Manager of Uniris Exhibition Shanghai Co Ltd, representative from Bright Laser Technologies (Shenzhen) Co Ltd, representative from Jiangxi Yuean Advanced Materials Co Ltd and representative from Han Wei Powder Metallurgy Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance (CPMA) as the fair is anticipated to become a major platform for the industry.

80-plus concurrent events to highlight industry trends

Formnext + PM South China 2021 will feature a range of fringe programme events covering cutting-edge injection moulding and additive manufacturing technologies, as well as the emerging trends of the additive manufacturing technology coming from Germany and the rest of the world. These include: 

Discover 3D Printing – ACAM
Theme: A seminar bringing together the Aachen Additive Manufacturing Center’s (ACAM) R&D technology and globe-spanning application case studies to the Chinese market to promote the joint development of the industry.

The 3rd South China Injection Moulding and Additive Manufacturing Technology and Application Summit
Theme: A conference focused on the research, application and optimisation of metal injection moulding (MIM) technologies as well as the application of additive manufacturing in the medical and automotive industries. Other topics to be covered will include 3D printing raw materials and processes as well as opportunities for the industry in the 5G era.

China Additive Manufacturing and Powder Metallurgy Product Launch Conference
Jointly arranged by the organisers of Formnext + PM South China and some of the industry’s renowned publications within the region, the conference will be a platform for suppliers to showcase their latest products. 

New pandemic regulations to be put in place

Formnext + PM South China will implement the following measures according to government requirements. The fairground will implement door-to-door temperature measurement, inspection of health codes, itinerary cards, QR codes, as well as mandating the wearing of masks for all participants. Those who have recently travelled to a high-risk area must provide a certificate of negative nucleic acid test within 72 hours before they can enter.

Formnext + PM South China is jointly organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd and Uniris Exhibition Shanghai Co Ltd. Formnext + PM South China forms a part of a series of international events including Asiamold, Formnext and Rosmould. Asiamold 2022 will be held from 3 – 5 March 2022. The next edition of Formnext will be held from 16 – 19 November 2021. The next edition of Rosmould will take place from 7 ‒ 9 June 2022 in Moscow.
